The couple Last June had friends who got married and I did offer them to take several pictures from Melania & Max Wedding. They are a very creative couple who also work together on interesting projects like La Casa Abandonada. In this case, them collects, restore and sell unique vintage furnitures. From their collaboration they came up with a small book called “Mi abuela Isabel”. It’s a limited book edition written by Melania and the illustrations by Max.
Miss Bikini swimwear photoshoot was one of the biggest challenge I have had so far. The mission was taking pictures from Nash Brown who won the Miss Bikini 2013’s Spain edition contest. Conocí a Alexandra Masangkay en un concurso de música en el Palacio de Congresos de Barcelona y allí establecimos el contacto para hacer una sesión de fotos que en unos meses llevamos a cabo. El pasado 21 de julio estuve en el estreno del espectáculo “En la imaginación” que protagonizaba Javier Colina (contrabajo), Marc Miralta (batería), Albert Sanz (piano) y Sílvia Pérez Cruz (voz). En esta ocasión contaron tambien como artista invitado con Perico Sambeat (saxo alto). Este espectáculo les ha llevado más tarde a Madrid y Cádiz, entre otros, logrando un gran éxito.
Este mes he realizado una sesión fotográfica para l’ “Aula de Música Tradicional i Popular”, entidad que coordina Catalunya los estudios musicales instrumentos tradicionales de la región. El eslógan se traduce como “Sumérgete” y consistía en fotografiar a un modelo con un traje de submarinista usando instrumentos de música tradicional. El pasado 20 de marzo asistí como fotógrafo acreditado al Campeonato Mundial LG de Snowboard en la estación de esquí La Molina. Ese día se dio lugar a las pruebas de Half-Pipe en el las instalaciones de La Molina que justo se estrenaron a finales de la temporada pasada para esa especialidad. El 23 de agosto de 2009 estuve realizando un trabajo para cubrir el concierto que tuvo lugar en la Cala de Sant Roc, en el pueblo de Calella de Palafrugell, Costa Brava. Durante 4 días visité París para tomar unas cuantas fotografías de sitios tan emblemáticos como la torre Eiffel, le Sacre-Coeur, La Défénse y Notre-Damme. He elegido el blanco y negro para todas esas fotografías para transmitir la esencia de esos sitios y su clima. Algunas de ellas son fotografías panorámicas formadas por varias tomas y unidas por software para abarcar grandes espacios incomparables como los que se pueden encontrar en esa vieja ciudad francesa.
Los últimos días de Junio estuve en Estados Unidos, fotografiando en New York, ciudad de grandes contrastes y de una cultura muy diferente a lo que en Europa estamos acostumbrados a ver. Aunque la estancia fue muy corta, fue bien aprovechada capturando algunos escenarios muyconocidos como Empire State, el puente de Brooklyn, la estación Grand Central y detalles de Manhattan en general.
El pasado 20 de marzo llegó a mis manos una de las últimas cámaras que ha aparecido en el mercado de las réflex digitales, la Canon 5D Mark II. De características muy diferentes al cuerpo que he estado usando hasta ahora, la Canon 1D Mark II, ahora dispongo de un sensor full frame, mucho mejor para las fotografías de retrato y paisajes.
